Bidding on TipLeads
When you place a bid on a TipLead, you are entering a contract and you are obligated to pay for the TipLead if you win the auction. A Bid is a commitment to purchase.
Why would a business want to bid or buy a TipLead?
A business will want to buy TipLeads because they are the closest thing to a referral that a business can buy, and can increase their sales significantly. TipLeads are sold to only one person, the auction winner.
How do I bid on a TipLead?
To bid on a TipLead, simply click on the orange 'Place Bid' button on the TipLead.
What is the Estimated Handling Fee?
The estimated handling fee that is added to the price of a TipLead sold is the credit card processing cost, and is calculated individually for each transaction. The convenience fee is listed on the bid page for you to see before you place your bid.
Why do I have to enter my date of birth to place a bid?
Your date of birth is required because by placing a bid, you are entering in to an agreement with TipLead.com that you will pay the amount that you are bidding if you win the auction.
I tried to Submit my bid, but it is not accepting my bid. Why?
Reasons that your Bid might not be accepted are the following:
1. The server is busy.
2. Your bid amount is below the Minimum Price for the TipLead.
3. Another bid was placed, and your abid amount is no longer high enough.
Paying for TipLeads
Are there any fees for buying a TipLead?
If you win a TipLead auction, or do an Express Buy for a lead, there will be a convenience fee in addition to the TipLead amount. For example, you chose to Express Buy a TipLead for $50, the convenience fee will be in addition to the $50, so the total amount you will have to pay is $50.00 plus the convenience fee for that lead. When bidding on a lead, you will see what the convenience fee is for that bid. Typically the convenience fee is between 3% and 5%.
